It is usually indicated in case of failed rct, retained tooth, extremely decayed tooth, tooth with poor remaining structure and also in case of root stump. Teeth extractions are carried under local anesthesia to make the process as Painless as possible. Few instruments and techniques are used to remove the tooth without damaging any surrounding tooth structure and bone. After extraction, bite firmly on the cotton gauze placed by your dentist and remove it after 45min – 1 hour.

After removing cotton, placing an ice pack on cheek or eating icecream will help reduce swelling and control bleeding. Take soft and cold diet, avoid hot/sticky/hard foods, avoid smoking and consuming alcohol, avoid aggressive workouts for 24 hrs, and do not forget to take your medication for speedy recovery. After extraction, it is common to experience some discomfort, swelling, and occasional bleeding which will gradually subside within a day or two.
